A: Vital Integrative Solutions is a psychiatric health and wellness clinic that offers holistic approaches to patient care. While experts in mental health care across the lifespan, we specialize in the psych-mental and behavioral health of children and adolescents aged 6-18 years, young adults ages 19-25 years and women across the lifespan, including reproductive mental health.
Q: What makes Vital Integrative Solutions unique?
A: Vital Integrative Solutions takes a holistic approach to patient care, focusing on both physical and mental health needs. We carefully consider stage of life, medical conditions, lab results and how these impact mental health. Our personalized treatment plans are tailored to each patient's specific needs and goals. We also offer alternative therapies as part of a treatment plan, such as mindfulness-based practices, lifestyle modifications and coaching.

Q: What treatments does Vital Integrative Solutions offer?
A: Vital Integrative Solutions offers psych-mental health care for numerous conditions and includes a range of treatments to address both physical and mental health conditions. Our approach is holistic and tailored to each patient's specific needs. We offer brief psychotherapy, medication management, alternative therapies, and more.

Q: Does Vital Integrative Solutions prescribe controlled medications/substances?
A: We take use of controlled medications seriously. We try to avoid medications that may lead to physiological dependence or health risks for patients, but realize they are sometimes a necessary part of a treatment plan. We carefully limit the use of controlled medications like benzodiazepines (eg Xanax, Klonopin) and avoid long term use of such medications. Stimulants (eg Adderall, Vyvanse, Focalin) may only be prescribed if a strong diagnosis of ADHD is established by this provider after a thorough evaluation, usually completed over several visits and will require neuropsychological and/or computer-based testing. Controlled medications will not be prescribed at the first appointment and are not guaranteed to be prescribed at any appointment. They will require at least one in-person appointment annually. All patients prescribed controlled substances must sign a controlled substance agreement and may be asked to submit a urine drug screen at random intervals to prevent diversion of controlled substance prescriptions and to ensure we are maintaining safe prescribing practices.

Q: What should I expect during my first and subsequent sessions to Vital Integrative Solutions?
A: Before your first session can occur, you will be required to complete several forms and consents; these assist us in getting to know you and your condition(s) ahead of your session. During your first session, you can expect to meet with our medical team to discuss your full medical history and treatment goals. We will perform a comprehensive evaluation and work with you to develop a personalized treatment plan. At subsequent sessions, we will review your progress, provide further assessment and modify your treatment goals, including medication management, as needed.

Q: Does Vital Integrative Solutions offer telehealth and in-office services?
A: Yes, we offer telehealth via video and phone services if needed for our patients who prefer virtual consultations. Telehealth via video or phone is done via a HIPAA compliant secure and confidential method (eg meeting link by email and/or text). You must be in the state where your rendering provider is licensed to be treated via telehealth. We are excited to offer in-office services by special appointment. Please contact our office for more information.

Q: Which state(s) is my provider licensed?
A: The licensure process and requirements for providers varies by state; the process to obtain licensure usually takes many weeks to several months. Dr. Williams, DNP, PMHNP-BC is currently licensed in the state of Georgia. Additional states may be added in the near future.

Q: What payment options does Vital Integrative Solutions provide?
A: Vital Integrative Solutions is a cashless practice. We accept various payment options, including debit card, credit card, and several major insurances. All patients are required to have an unexpired card on file and submit co-pay or payment prior to a session. Please contact our office for more information on payment options and insurance coverage.

Q: Can I schedule a session if my insurance is out of network or I have not met my insurance deductible?
A: Insurance plans vary greatly. We will verify your insurance benefits through a clearinghouse prior to your session. You will be informed of any copays or deductibles. If you attend the session and your provider is out-of-network, a special invoice, called a "super bill" can be provided to you free of charge to submit to your insurance carrier or FSA/HSA for possible reimbursement. It is your responsibility to contact your insurance carrier to determine what reimbursement, if any, you will receive. Credit/debit cards are accepted and will be required at the time you schedule your appointment to hold your appointment time.
Q: Is there a penalty for a no-show or cancellation outside the grace period (ie 24 hours)?
A: We value your time and expect the same in return. There is a $75 fee if you do not show (ie more than 10 min late without appropriate notice) for your appointment or cancel after the grace period (i.e. 24 hours).
Q: How do I make a payment for services at Vital Integrative Solutions?
A: We accept various payment options, including debit card, FSA/HSA card, credit card, and several major forms of insurance. We require an active form of payment be kept on file at all times and payment, including any copays submitted prior to each session. We are in the process of adding additional insurance carriers, including Medicare and Medicaid. Please contact our office for more information on payment options and/or insurance coverage.
Q: How do I request completion of medical documents, records or forms?
A: Please contact our office to request completion of medical documents, records or forms. We will be happy to assist you with this process. Allow 5-7 business days for completion.
